| Gloucester updated and draft of Manchester. Ideas beyond that are to move around a bit with the Italian heavy cruiser Fiume, then Canarias, the New Orleans class, the Suffrens, the Takao and Nachi classes. Detailed plans for any of these, particularly the weapons such as the 5" guns and other sub assemblies for New Orleans class would be much appreciated. |

| The first of the Town class drawings has been added with Gloucester. Next up is Manchester. | 21-January-10 |
| We need help with HMS Gloucester - does anyone have photo/art of a Staffel 7 Ju 87 of StG 2 Immelman that attacked Gloucester when sunk in May '41 ? | 15-Jan-10 |
| We still need help with HMS Cumberland - we need more data on the late design. Any data welcome. | 17-Sept-09 |
| Some Cumberland questions where we need your help: There is a photo gap over the period 1940-41. Does anyone have one? Did she have the 4" shelters at Dakar? | 14-June-09 |
| Some more Suffolk questions where we need your help: All sources say that Suffolk had 3 single oerlikons at the end of the war. One is on B turret - where are the others? All other 20mm mounts were double by then. There seems to be 2 positions abreast the bridge on the 4" deck but photos are not clean. Does anyone have plans or even a photo for the pre production 79Z radar? Does anyone have photos of her with the standard (late war) admiralty scheme? I have no changes listed for the 1944 refit at Durban. Does anyone know if she underwent any? | 6-April-09 |
| We need help with HMAS Australia - please see below, and HMS Suffolk. For Suffolk we need more data on the camouflage on both sides (during the campaign off Norway.) We have data on her as far as her second to last refit. But no data after the hangar was removed. Any data welcome. Especially on the aft superstructure and 79Z radar. | 3-March-09 |
| Berwick has been added, Suffolk is next. We need help with HMAS Australia - please see next entry. | 12-February-09 |
| Next up for the detailed drawings is Berwick which will be added soon, to be followed by Suffolk. We need help with HMAS Australia. We need plans for 40mm Bofors single Mk III mount HA as mounted on RN ships in WW2. Any data on Australia is welcome, but mostly: - Colour & cammo schemes, - Prewar refit dates & scope of refit, - Armament changes and augmentations, - Walrus colours. & markings - Plans for the old seagull seaplane would be great. If someone has interesting things to say we can arrange a phone conference. | 9-February-09 |
| An update to Kent drawings and final versions of Cornwall and Canberra have been added. Next up is Berwick. | 8-December-08 |
| An update on Kent is on the way with improved information on her seaplanes and colouring. The next drawing is of Cornwall and these are close to publication. In May 1940 Cornwall sank the German raider KMS Pinguin, but Pinguin's colours are a mystery - can anyone help ? Also we need a line drawing of a Supermarine Seagull III. | 14-November-08 |
| Two detailed questions on the Kent class please - when and on which ships was the Fairey Flycatcher carried? And early 30s in the Far East were the upperworks always buff coloured, or just the stacks ? | 27-October-08 |
| HMS Kent drawings - final(ish) versions are published. Next up will be Cornwall. We are very pleased to release these very impressive drawings illustrating the evolution and history of cruisers. What next after the Kents ? If you have an opinion, please let us know. | 22-October-08 |
| HMS Cornwall drawings in draft added to Comments needed page. | 19-September-08 |
| Eric Leon is looking for help on one of his projects - Several A class destroyers had similar camouflage in 1940. Namely a WWI variant. He needs Port and Starboard views of Acasta and Ardent at the time of their encounter with Scharnhorst and Gneisenau in the Spring of 1940. If anyone can help please email me - thanks. | 3-September-08 |
| Hopefully I have finally fixed the variability in response time for voting. The solution was to action the vote update mid-way through the flashing of the "Excellent/Good", and then to fire off the update of Today's Votes when the flashing has finished. This seems to ensure they are processed in the right sequence. It seems to be working well now, any problems please let me know | 3-September-08 |
| I have substantially rewritten the code that manages picture voting. It seemed to be producing a very variable response time between just about instant and around 5 seconds. The hosting company believed it was due to packet errors across the Internet. Not being convinced of this I have improved the data base handling which seems to have helped. You may have noticed that when you vote, the total number of votes is also updated at the same time - well a second or so later. These are two separate page updates and it is possible this was also delaying things. Anyway it seems to have improved. Any feedback much appreciated. Particularly any before and after comments from US users. | 28-August-08 |
| Eric L is working on a new set of pages which will focus on the evolution of a ship with art work showing how she looked from commissioning, through the various updates and rebuilds, to her end. This includes not only camouflage schemes but radar, armour, AA arrays, and so on. Most of the drawings are side views with some top views where specific camouflage requires it. HMS Kent will be the first to be added, hopefully in the next few weeks. | 28-August-08 |
